So I assume we have all seen the newest BMW Film, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , right? It was a good 13 minute flick, high quality action movie making and all. I wish the car would have gotten more stunt driving and wish the engine didn’t sound so anemic.

The two Hummers providing tactical escort was a lot more impressive, btw.

That said, I am much more intrigued by the Molecular Genetics storyline, I don’t know how much is written outside of the movie script or whether the next films will be connected at all. There is so much opportunity in unfolding this idea. SPOILERS AHEAD.

We learn early on that the girl is a human clone. Who is the woman in the end? Is that her biological mother, or her clone source? Where was she going to take her?

Are there other girls like her (there could be a number of additional clones)?

Was it the discovery of human experiments that forced the company to shut down? What else is hiding in those labs?

The security dude was taking the girl to the “customer” - was that the woman we saw in the end or someone else? Presumably someone else (the movie is called The Escape for a reason), and if so, what were their plans with her?

Also, this might be totally coincidental, but the whole setup had a weird Theranos flavor, for a moment.

Love the Molecular Genetics logo, it’s like a bunch of chromosomes (X’s and Y’s) on top of each other.

This would make an amazing TV series with an endless source for twists.

I’m assuming the Dr went missing to protect herself and then the lady at the end was the doctor but with some darker hair.

What we know: the feds were pissed off at them for cloning humans and were going to shut the operation down; Lily is the last “flower” still alive.

What we don’t know: why the MG guy felt the need to violently escape with Lily - is it just because she’s very valuable as a medical specimen? It’s not like she’s got special powers (à la “Stranger Things”).

What we can infer: the doctor at the end actually did/does care for Lily and the flowers as her own children and is trying to protect her from the people who only want her for profit or study.

I’d also love the see the writer/director commentary for this.

No, but if we didn’t see any hint of it, and this is a 1 of 1 (not first in a series), I don’t think we can assume anything. It’s not like her drawings alluded to her being clairvoyant or something...

I think the Diver (Clive Owen) was hired by the Doctor (women at the end) ultimately to get the girl to safety, but the private security was probably hired by the Corporation the Doctor worked for (news clips in the film said she had been missing for weeks) to get the girl to a secured facility so they could continue their experiments.

The driver was also hired by MG Corp., but was clearly also paid (or convinced) by the doctor to not follow their orders.

That’s why I said ultimately paid by her.
